On 2/21/24, VillageCareMAX (VCM) was alerted by Change Healthcare about a network outage that is disrupting Change Healthcare’s ability to deliver services. This impacts providers who use Change Healthcare to send member eligibility verifications, 837 files and paper-to-electronic claims scanning and 835 electronic remittances.
VillageCareMAX’s medical claims vendor ILS was impacted by this service disruption. Other clearinghouse vendors are being utilized to support our claims vendor. Providers can register with Ability/Inovalon with Payee ID # 26545; however, given the current volume due to the service outage, it may take up to one month to gain access to these alternative clearinghouses.
In addition, VCM is working with our current medical claims processing team to expedite a new Payer ID with Smart Data Stream (SDS). Once this has been completed, we will communicate additional details. VillageCareMAX is working with SDS clearinghouse for claims submission by Wednesday, March 6th at the latest.
Due to the service disruption which started on 2/21/2024, providers will be required to resubmit claims from that date forward. Any new claims should be submitted starting on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
You can also choose to submit a paper claim using the following address:
ILS – VillageCareMAX
P.O. Box 21516
Eagan, MN 55121
For Behavioral Health claims submission please see attached letter for the claims’ submission process.
Updates to this outage can be found on Change Healthcare's status site here: https://status.changehealthcare.com/incidents/hqpjz25fn3n7. VillageCareMAX will continue to provide updates as they are received.
